Scope
The insulation inspection is a spot check and is a component of the Interior inspection. If the insulation is not readily accessible, a Thermal Imaging device is used to see defects such as missing insulation, hidden wet areas and hot spots.
Furthermore, the Inspector shall identify and evaluate phenolic foam insulation used on top of steel roof structures.
